Does Parley sound familiar to you? Well Parley for the Oceans addresses major threats towards our oceans, the most important ecosystem of our planet. Parley is the space where creators, thinking, and leaders come together to raise awareness for the beauty and fragility of our Oceans and collaborate on projects that can end their destruction.
In July 2016, Adidas teamed up with Parley and released a very limited quantity of uncaged Ultra BOOST‘s that were made from plastic bottles recycled from the Ocean, these sneakers currently have an average resell value of $5000 according to StockX. Since then, in November 2016 they released another uncaged Ultra BOOST that currently has an average resell value of $299 according to StockX, this release wasn’t as limited.
Adidas and Parley have teamed up once again, this time they will be releasing three pairs of Ultra BOOST’s; the Adidas Ultra BOOST, Adidas Ultra BOOST Uncaged and the women’s exclusive Adidas Ultra BOOST X. Each pair is constructed using approximately 11 recycled plastic bottles from the Ocean.
You can expect these to release the 10th of May at selected retailers and online via this link; Click Here! Each pair will have a recommended retail price of $200.
What are your thoughts on these and the story behind them? From my point of view its amazing and I wish every brand would look into doing something similar. What’s you opinion? Let us know in the comment section or via out social media accounts @SnekaerMiyagi.
